Birthday Suit by Lauren Blakely truly made me feel like it was my birthday!
Review: There was so much goodness to this book I have no idea where to start! So let's just start with our leads Andi Arndt & Sebastian York. These two killed it as Lulu & Leo! They always work so well together & this time was no exception! They were so believable & so true to the characters that Lauren Blakely created. They were able to bring you in & hold your attention throughout the entire book. They had me laughing one minute & wanting to cry the next. Another flawless delivery from this dynamic duo! Erin Mallon as an aussie was incredible! As Ginny she was hilarious & able to deliver the accent flawlessly. I completely believed she was from Australia the entire time. I actually forgot it was her for a bit & just got into the character. Now if you know me you know I love me some Shane East! He didn't let me down as Dean, not one bit. The scenes between him & Sebastian York were some of my favorites. I said it before & I'll say it again, total eargasm! I have to say though my favorite performance came from Joe Arden as Noah. I am used to hearing him in more intense rolls so hearing him hilarious, upbeat & hyper as heck was absolutely AMAZING! His delivery was completely mind blowing for me & made me see him in a whole new light. I can't wait to see if he will do more of this kind of character in the future. I have to say I was surprised that Savannah Peachwood could pull off such a bitchy character. I can honestly say I hated RaeLynn by the end of the book even though I love Savannah Peachwood. January Lavoy as Kingsley made my day! She played that roll to perfection & had me totally enthralled every time Kingsley would talk. Dion Graham was perfect as Lulu's best friend & business partner Cameron. The scenes between the two of them were so believable & hilarious. Jason Clarke gave a very good performance as well as Tripp, Leo's best friend & Lulu's ex husband. That last scene he did almost made me cry. I'd like to hear more from him & from the teasers at the end of the audiobook it looks like that is going to happen very soon! RC Bray as Grorge was hilarious as the chocolate fountain man with triplet babies! Julia Whelan had me totally into her quirky character Tabitha. And Robin Miles pulled off not one but two different & distinct characters flawlessly! All in all this audiobook is up there in my favorites of all time & I will not be surprised when it starts winning awards left & right! I completely recommend you give Birthday Suit a listen. You will not be disappointed!
