Hard Limit by Sybil Bartel blew my freaking mind! I already knew it was going to be intense from all the teasers she has given us. But I had no idea that it would rock me so completely. I have been waiting for Candle's story for a very long time. I figured we would get a story that starts after all his action in the Uncompromising Series but holy hell was I shocked to find out we were going back to River Ranch for some more drama. Not only was this story a page turner, it was one of the most intriguing books I have read of hers yet. I couldn't wait to dive into Shaila's life & find out what she was all about. I literally sat in my reading chair & devoured this book start to finish without getting up I was that into it. Learning more of his background with the cult & finding out what happened to him after he was "vanquished" was amazing. Getting to know Shaila & her background made it easy to see how perfect she is for him. Of course she had to leave us in a cliffhanger since this is a 3 book series but even just in this first one I am hooked & anxiously awaiting the next book! That cliffhanger though holy hell so crazy & not fair!! I can already tell that this series is going to be a favorite of mine for sure.

REVIEW:

I had the amazing opportunity to get an ARC of this story & I was blown away! Can I just start by saying that this book was much different than I expected it to be in all the best ways! After The Sin Trilogy I will admit that I was a little nervous going into a new trilogy because I was afraid of being thrown in a million different directions that I couldn't keep up with but that was definitely not the case. March was able to keep me on the edge of my seat without driving me insane. I was able to thoroughly enjoy the story I was reading as it unfolded. I was able to fall completely in love with these new characters & never be bored or confused. As far as MM's different billionaires go Creighton Karas has always been my favorite by far. When we were introduced to Jericho Forge at the end of The Sin Trilogy & found out that Creighton was one of his business connections I knew immediately that I would like him. When MM revealed that Jericho was a mix of Creighton & Lachlan Mount from the Mount Trilogy I lost my ever loving mind & was almost frantic to get my hands on his story. Well ladies & gents March delivered in a big way! Jericho is the perfect mix of these two epic alpha billionaire heroes. He is smart, sophisticated & sexy as all hell. But her references to Jason Momoa & Aquaman really pushed me over the egde & made me fall for him HARD! Then enter India Baptiste the famous poker player that swoops right into Forge's life & heart. Indy is a perfect example of a true strong independent woman. She challenges Forge at every turn, never backing down & always giving him a run for his money. She is the ideal heroine for this unlikely hero. I'm sure as the story progresses these two are going to be a force to be reckoned with. I can only imagine what trouble a pirate & a poker player can get up to! This book get a complete 5 stars from me on every front. I can't wait to see what surprises the next book brings us.


My Favorites:

"When a billionaire walks into a room, you feel it. Especially if you're the billionaire." That is seriously one of the best first sentences of a book I have ever read! It sets the tone for the entire trilogy. Right on MM!

"It's like someone unleashed the Kraken." I may or may not have spit out my diet dr. pepper when I read that. I laughed so hard at that line & the next couple pages that my stomach ached afterward.

"His words shouldn't affect me like this. His touch shouldn't affect me like this. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm a slave to Jericho Forge." I am right there with you Indy because seriously this man made my ovaries ache!

"He really is Aquaman.
Except he's not an actor playing a role. Forge is the real deal.

Indy, you need to watch yourself, the voice in my head says. Don't go getting dick-struck by him because he released the Kraken on you." Again with the sides aching laughter. But woah mama with the sexy imagery!

My number one most anticipated book of 2019 & thankfully I don't have to wait very long! Free rounds out my favorite KA series & finally gives us Rush's story. I've been waiting for this one since Motorcycle Man & now I'm so close I can almost taste it. I've already read the teasers & just from those I know this book is going to rock my world.

I know I know I picked a trilogy but cut me some slack. There is no way I couldn't include all three in my top 5. Now lucky for me & you I had the opportunity to read an ARC of the first book in this trilogy & oh my goodness it was awesome! (Watch out for my review coming soon.) I'm itching to get my hands on the other two & have no idea how I'm going to wait!

So getting a dose of both worlds is a dream come true for me & it's going to take a lot of patience to wait until August to get my hands on this masterpiece! I am also going crazy because not only are we getting a novella but Quiet Man is an intro back into comando world! A whole new series titled Deam Girls. Hawk's boys need their HEA's & KA is here to help!

Reckless by Sybil Bartel (spoiler free)

Reckless by Sybil Bartel racks up another 5 star read from me! That's 3 in a row for her Alpha Bodyguard series. But since I have been waiting FOREVER for Tyler's story & had really high hopes, that is saying a lot. She definitely gave me even more than I hoped for making this my favorite in the series so far. I mean royalty?! Yes please! I did not see that coming but since Tyler has always been so sweet & obviously just a really good down to his bones guy he deserves his Princess. We all know Sybil's men treat all their women like they are one already. So it was time for an honest to god Princess to come along & show one of these guys how love at first sight really works. This whole story was so well thought out & really kept my attention from page one. I could not put it down. The action, suspense & all the twists & turns were amazing. But what really had me was the chemistry between these two. It was instant & intense but not over the top. You really believed that two normal people out there in the world could feel the way these two feel for each other. They both have their doubts but they can't resist each other. The intimate scenes were so powerful I could barely breathe though a couple of them. The book on a whole was just amazing & I couldn't be more thrilled that this character we have all loved for so long finally has his HEA & she's a good one! Thank you Sybil for treating our Damien with all the love he deserves!

Puck Buddies by Lili Valente

Buddies with bennies! 

Puck Buddies by Lili Valente is a perfect addition to her Bad Motherpuckers series.

Definitely a funny & entertaining, easy read!

I have been following this series since the beginning & with every new release I am never disappointed! LV has a way with her characters that no other author does. It's entirely unique so I am never bored. That fact remains the same with this book. Her characters are definitely quirky but at the same time have the ability to be entirely serious & intense. One minute I'm laughing & the next I'm crying. I though this book would be just a fwb to lovers book but it is so much more! The chemistry between these two even with the restraints they have to deal with is amazing. Yes there are some intense parts like I said but all in all it was a fun & easy read. I highly recommend this book! 5 stars all the way.

Unzipped by Lauren Blakely is a quirky, sweet & easy read. 

If you're looking for light & fun this is the book for you!

I really enjoyed this book. It's nice every now & then to take a break from the more intensely romantic books & just listen to something light that makes you laugh. That's why I always look forward to LB's books. She gives me a break from the craziness & I can always count on her to make me laugh my ass off. Her characters are always so entertaining & hilarious. This book did not disappoint what so ever. From the boom box mistake to the roller coasters this book was full of light hearted fun. The queen of the rom com strikes again with 5 stars from me!

Merciless by Sybil Bartel

Merciless gets ALL the stars!! Yet another scorcher from Sybil Bartel! This book had everything. Bad guys, car chases, shoot outs & of course a serious alpha fighting for the love of his life. Sybil never disappoints with the action & the sexiness. This time is no different.

So before I get into all the goodness that is Merciless. I thought I would take a second to explain my love for this particular author. Since I haven't reviewed one of her books on my new site I figured it was time. So for all of you who have yet to jump on the Sybil Bartel train, DO IT NOW! Seriously I can not say enough about this author. I found her through a random add last year & ever since I have read & reread every one of her books. Now I know a lot of you are more into audiobooks, especially you busy moms like me. Trust me I get it. I am the same way but Sybil's books are worth the reading time. I promise. Maybe after the kids are down & you have some downtime alone in your room? Because with her books. Oh boy. You definitely want to be alone when you read them. Or have your SO close by. ;) So anyways the main reason I love Sybil's books is because every single one of her stories that she has published ties together. They are all in the same world & all the charters overlap into other stories. So if you have a favorite alpha of hers? (Can anyone say TALON?!) You will probably see them in future stories! Also her alphas are freaking ALPHA! Seriously she has ruined me on all other alpha heroes in books! Her men are intense to the point of scary at times but then they can flip & become your freaking dream men. Seriously so freaking SEXY! But her story lines are so well thought out & so action packed that they could easily be turned into action movies. Every single book is a page turner that you never want to put down! Believe me I own them all & like I said I have reread them all multiple times. I'm still never bored. They are my go to for road trips, airplane rides or just random downtime. Every book is worth a read & that I can promise you.

Now onto Merciless. This book, just wow. I got it & wanted to dig into it instantly because I knew it would be awesome. Unfortunately I had to wait until the kids were asleep. But once I opened it I didn't put it down until I finished it. I had already been curious about Collins since way back when he was a random Luna bodyguard & went by Collin. Finally we get his first name! Garrett. Now we already had the teaser so I kind of already knew the storyline but I had no clue how intense it was going to be! I mean right off the bat she threw us into the suspense & drama. Then we get into it with our two love birds & I will admit at being frustrated with Brookes caginess. I just wanted to yell at her to "trust him!" but you know where is the fun in that right? The whole first part had me on edge then when they finally get together it is EXPLOSIVE! I mean hotness & sweetness to the max! They are so incredible when the guards are let down that I totally forgot what the teaser said & I was sure they would face the rest of the book together. But of course the bomb dropped & I was ripped away from my bliss. But no fear part two definitely made my heartbreak worth it! I mean the drama is intense & the action is just plain insane! But his dedication to his son & yes to Brooke even though he is pissed at her made my heart happy. I mean seriously happy. He was willing to walk through a hail of gunfire just to keep them safe & even after being hit several times his one & only thought was getting them out of there. Then when the dust settles somewhat & they are finally able to air out all their dirty laundry it was seriously epic! I love love love that they waited for each other. She knew he was her one & only. He knew his heart was hers & that no other woman could replace her. Even after just one night. That's pure HEA genius if you ask me. The way he almost worships her & how she describes her feelings for him make that apparent. These two were obviously made for each other. I loved getting to know Sawyer better & I can not wait for his story! Also I liked how she tied in Maldonado. But what I loved the most & what I mentioned earlier is how many characters we got to see in this book. Not only the obvious in Luna & his men but also Talon & Neil. We even get to see Dane freaking Marek! But my favorite was Ariel & Connor. I love that Ariel & Brooke are friends & that through that Connor & Maverick have become friends as well. I just like that the family always comes together & embraces all the new additions with open arms. All in all this book was a winner for me 100%. 5 stars & if I could I would give it 10!
